Tulipa Tarda/ Macro Monday

Species tulips: Tulipa Tarda

I'm very fond of these diminutive tulips! Unfortunately my neighbourhood squirrels like them too. Good eating, they think!

The 'Tarda' was a littly tardy :-)
Is everything springlike now?
Not a flake of snow left?
They are the only tulips I really care for. Nice to see them now that ours are long gone.

We went to a Thai restaurant the other evening which served edible flowers. I did not eat them.

These are funky. I mean, c'mon, someone forgot to finish painting the leaves! Sheesh!
