Behind Civic Centre/ Sky Watch

Sunset behind the East Gwillimbury Civic Centre

At the moment there's still a farmer's field behind the civic centre where a housing development will eventually be built.

Sunset a few minutes later than the first photo

Wonderful colors in the sky, beautiful images.

Looks like the apartment residents will have a beautiful view of the sky. Sad to see the field have to go though.

Nice! It was also nice to hear that a step behind the civic center one could walk on farmland, then I read about the housing development. Boo! But the same thing happens here. Come to think of it I guess I live in one of those developments. :-(

I'm glad you got these shots before the development starts. I keep thinking my part of town is finished but every now and then there will be yet another stand of trees bulldozed for yet another half empty building to put up.

Beautiful. Sunsets change so quickly from one beauty to another.

a beautiful scene, to bad they will ruin it with buildings. it gets harder and harder here to see a sight like this, beautiful fields and skies.

Awesome pictures and place!! :) People need houses, but.... this beautiful field and view will be destroyed..

It's sad I guess that our planet is beginning to get overcrowded, but we all deserve to have a home so we just have to make room for everybody.

Gorgeous skies and colors and superb captures as always! I, too, hate to see still more and more houses going up everywhere, but as Kathy wrote, we just have to make room for everyone. So, we have grab our shots while there is still some beautiful spaces left and you've done that today! Hope you have a lovely weekend!

I have been noticing red skies just about every evening. I've been too lazy to go out and take photos. I'm glad you did because you got much better shots than I could have.

I used to lament the quick changes of the sunset, but now I realize that this insanely fast change of scenes is perfect for taking a variety of dramatic images without leaving the same spot.

What a lovely breaking segments of light.

It may be progress, but I just hope the new construction will not obstruct the views!

These are beautiful photos of the sunset. It's a shame that such a glorious scene will soon be blocked by houses.
