Upland Sandpiper/Friday Fences

 Upland sandpiper on fence support

Part of the fun of hunting for photogenic fences this time of year is finding birds standing or sitting on them.

From a bit farther back

I am linking to Friday Fences here.

It is always fun to see what you're going to come up with next. I thought sandpipers spent all their time on Florida beaches! :) This is a great shot!

Śliczny ptak zdobi ogrodzenie. Pozdrawiam.
Lovely bird decorates the fence. Yours.

Superb photos. I think these birds are ones that fake a broken wing to lure you away from the nest.

The texture of the fence, the detail of the birds coloring. Perfect. I think this fellow was posing for you.

I DO like how that fencepost looks--sandpiper and all! I just realized that it's shot in portrait mode. Did you know that I almost always shoot landscape, regardless of the subject? Mainly because I can browse through them in the photo flip-books without having to turn it sideways. Is that lazy or what?

How accommodating for this guy to pose on a fence post which has the same tones and "markings" as his! :-) Like this photo a lot.
